Last night, Pat and Adam came over to help me prep the studio to start work on the new album.
We decided to test some shiz out by tackling a sweet little cover. The Flamingos made this song popular in 1959, but was originally written for a flick called Dames in 1934. A LOT of people have covered this track, from Beck to Sinatra, the Temptations and, to what should come as no surprise, Mel C from the Spice Girls. We recorded most of it live off the proverbial floor, and I waited until about 2:30am to record the vocals. What’s that ghostly, hard-to-pin-down effect on the vocals? Fatigue, people. Fatigue. Enjoy!
A little late night fun while setting up the studio to start work on the new acorn album, “Vieux Loup”. Features: Rolf Klausener (guitars, bass, vocals), Adam Saikaley (rhodes), Patrick Johnson (drums). Recorded between 6pm - 1am on October 9th, 2012
